We are getting closer to the deadline for the NBA trade and currently there are many rumors about players being transferred, but not much has occurred.
Right now there is not a clear champion-to-be at the NBA and a good number of teams are still in playoff contention, but in order to become championship contenders, they might have to make some strategic moves within the coming month.
Because of this, we have listed the three players we believe can make a team a true contender:
- Michael Redd from the Bucks: He is not officially available, but since the Bucks’ chances of making it to the playoffs are low, they might want to trade him for the right price. Who can benefit from his services? Most likely the Mavericks who could use Redd to assist Dirk Nowitzki.
- Jamaal Tinsley from the Pacers: This guy can perfectly replace Stephon Marbury in the Knicks as Marbury’s contract expires soon and the Pacers haven’t given that much participation to Tinsley. But the veteran 30-year old veteran might also be of great value to a team like the Miami Heat as he could perfectly back up the inexperienced Mario Chalmers.
- Shawn Marion from the Miami Heat: Marion hasn’t been the player Miami expected and as his contract is expiring, a good destination for him could be the Kings whom are looking to a player in Marion’s situation to clear cap space for the coming season and it is almost a fact that Sacramento is willing to make some roster moves, and most importantly, the Miami Heat contending situation will change drastically if Miami can successfully trade Marion for Ron Artest, who, in my opinion, is a better player than Marion and would team up greatly with Dwayne Wade and Michael Beasley.
There is still some time before the trading headline, and all NBA teams still can evaluate what is better for their rosters.

It’s funny that when you look back into NFL football history, you find players like Dan Marino, a pick #27 of a first round draft , who in spite of his late selection, became an emblem of the NFL football league.
The famous NFL quarterback spent all of his career with the Dolphins wearing the now-retired jersey number 13 and is currently a member of the NFL football hall of fame, and has held almost all NFL passing records.
Despite of being selected for the Pro Bowl 9 times, Dan Marino never achieved a Super Bowl victory, though he led the Dolphins to the playoffs a few times.
Brett Favre was the only quarterback to surpass a few of the records imposed by Marino at the NFL, among those, Favre broke the Most Attempts, Career: 8,358 record, the NFL Most Completions, Career: 4,967 record and the Most Touchdown Passes, Career: 420.
So when you ask yourself, who the all-time best QB in NFL history is, both Brett Favre and Dan Marino are pretty tight there at the top, but let’s remember that the two quarterbacks had played in different decades, and NFL football has somehow changed along the way, so just by a personal opinion, I would say Marino has an edge over Favre.
