Cassel will never be Brady

It’s amazing how important a single player can be for an NFL Football franchise, specifically the quarterback. Let’s take Tom Brady as the best example.

The Patriots are trusting on an inexperienced QB on Matt Cassel to finish the NFL season since Brady got injured in the first minutes of New England’s opener against the Chiefs.

Cassel hasn’t done that bad though, but is he able to lead the Pats to a good record? That is to be seen…

Tom Brady just underwent knee surgery and the question here is: Is he going to be the same quarterback after being absent during a whole pro football season? Or will he become just another from the bunch?

Certainly Matt Cassel is not the new Tom Brady but he did start this NFL 2008 season in the same position than Brady back in 2001 when he replaced Drew Bledsoe as the starting quarterback for the Patriots due to a football injury Bledsoe suffered.

If Cassel can raise his level to something similar of Brady’s, then the Patriots have a good chance of repeating at the Superbowl.
